THE CHRISTCHURCH MYSTERY.

MOUAT CHARGED WITH MURDER. Christchurch, March 9. Frederick Peter Mouat, husband ol Ellen Louise Nellie Mouat, was. charged this morning that on or about February 20 he did kill one Nellie Mouat, thereby committing murder. On the application of the police Mount was remanded till the 18th. An application for bail by the accused’s solicitor was refused. The Court was crowded during the brief sitting and many people were unable to gain admittance. Mouat looked weary and worn. His clothing was untidy and bespattered with dirt.
