FARMER SUICIDES.

General regret was felt throughout the Horowhenua district on Tuesday (says the Levin Chronicle), when it became known that ML P. W Inge, a well-known farmer, of Manakau, had been found dead in his woolshed at Muhunoa, as the result of a gunshot wound. .Deceased was highly respected by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, and very general sympathy is felt for the family in the sad circumstances. At the inquest the evidence showed that the deceased had been in illhealth for the past eight months, being under medical care, and suffering from a strained heart. He had lately been unable to sleep, but seemed to be quite normal in his manner, and gave no indication of being worried. A verdict that deceased died of a gunshot wound, self-inflicted, while suffering from iil-health was returned.
