BOWLING.

Yesterday afternoon the local green presented quite a gala appearance, the occasion being a visit by four rinks from Bulls club, and two from Terrace End. The weather being ideal, a most enjoyable afternoon was spent. Mr A. N". Smith, vice-president, in the absence of Mr Barr, welcomed the visitors. The following are the details of play.— Bulls: Phillips, Tricker, Walker, Archer (s), 24 v. Parkes, Mattar, Whibley, Roore (s) 22. Mason, Winstanley, Woods, Christie (s), 31 v. Bulls: Ranson, Price, Allen, Stevens (s), 10. - Bulls: Elliott, Doughly, Auldwick Ingram (s) 15 v. Tei-raee End: Faliis, Ashton, Mills, Skogling (s.), 18. Terrace End: Oliver, Wort, Dunkirk, Davidson (s) 25 v. Spring, Downes, Walker, Smith (s) 17. Walton, Bryant, Pearson, Thomson (s), 28 v. Bulls: Thompson, PeTTett, Wilson, Nicholson (s) 17. The following pairs game was also played: —ITollings and Healey 19 v. Bulls: Miller and Morisev 12. At the conclusion of play the visitors expressed their thanks for the enjoyable day’s outing, and invited Foxton players to pay visits to their i( spentivo greens. (hi Wednesday next Foxton bowlers will visit Levin en force to engage in friendly play. Terrace End Club are holding a gala day on Saturday, commencing at 2 p.m. and continuing in the evening. Entries from Foxton rinks are solicited.
