STRUCK BY TRAIN.
NURSE SEVERELY INJURED. i’olmerston North, March !) A narrow escape from a fatal accident occurred in the Square this morning-. Mary Williamson, a nurse, at the Public Hospital, was struck .iy the incoming Wanganui train. She apparently walked in front of the train and was thrown across the* rails and was then caught by the under-structure of the trucks and carried along the asphalt road, ,i; was swept clear of the wheels. She was severely injured in the right arm and chest, and is in the hospital.
