Mason) is most, desirous that parents and guardians of pupils will give immediate attention to the following matters: — 1. Send along to the school tor the February number of the school journal, which is available between the hours of 9 3(1 and 12 and 1.30 an i 3.30. 2. Provide their children with the following hooks and equipment : headers for primer children: lave headers. Parts 1 to 5, according to class. Spelling books; Inspector Stuckey's Spelling Books for respective standards. Arithmetic test liooks: Whiteornbe and Tombs’ Progressive Arithmetic. Geography text books: Stds. 2 to (i: Pacific Geographies (Whiteornbe ami Tombs); history books: The Story of the British Nation. Std. 3 Par’ll; Std. 4 part If.. Std-f) Part III; Sid. 6 Part IV. Drawing books for pupils of Stds. -1, 5, and 6 only. Miscellaneous material: —Exercise books, writing pads, compasses, pens, pencils etc. Where bows and material are airi-tidy in the hands of the family, it will, of course, he unnecessary to go to extra expense by purchasing new hooks. In all probability a sebeme of walk which the children cai: profitably carry out at home will be published on Saturday or Tuesday next. It is sincerely hoped that parents will i.( -operate with the teachers by si oervising any school work-that may he drafted for the pupils to carry out during their present enforced vacation, and thus fitting them for a good start with the year’s programme as soon as school re-opens. The immediate urgency is the obtaining of journals, text books and material.
