INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
A suspicious ease of infantile paralysis was removed to the Palmerston N. Hospital from the Shannon road outside the borough, on Tuesday afternoon. The little sufferer was the one-year and seven months son of Mr and Mrs I. W. Mudford. The child had been ailing for several days and as the symptoms were suspicious, it was removed to the" hospital for observation. 'there were no fresh cases reported yesterday throughout the hospital district. Tli ere are only two serious cases at the Hospital out of 36 patients. Christchurch, Last Night. Two cases of infantile paralysis were reported this morning, one at Leeston and the other at Runanga. Invercargill, Last Night. A case of infantile paralysis, that of a two-year-old child, has been definitely diagnosed at Riverton. The Health Department state it is a contact case and has taken the usual precautions.
