On Friday evening' last a rink skipped by Huntley played a team representative of Saturday players. Huntley’s rink made a good start, hut was unable to maintain their lead for long, and the final figures showed them to he well behind. Mason, .Jas. Ross, Jno. Ross, S. Head (s), 22 v. Nixon, Hollings, Winkler, Huntley (s), S. - The following rink will contest with the bidders of the Nye Ferns (Smith’s link) to-morrow afternoon: Admore, McColl, Winstanley, Hollings (s). Intimation has been received from Bails Club that three or four rinks will pay a visit to Foxton green on l lie 25th inst., in response to, an invitation extended by the local committee. Takavo Bowling Club are conducting a rinks tournament on their green on Saturday to decide the holders of a new challenge trophy. Thereafter the trophy will be subject to challenge by Clubs within the Centre similar to the Dixon Cup. Foxton Club has been invited to send two rinks on the date mentioned.
