WEDDING.

JAMES—JONES. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at' the residence of the bride’s parents at Heatherlea, on Wednesday last when Doris Irene Jones, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs S. A. Jones, was married to Charles Parry James, second son of Mr and •Mrs Thos. James, of Foxton Road, Levin. The Rev. J. D. McArthur was the officiating minister. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in an ivory crepe do chene dress, overhung with radium lace, and a beautiful veil to match, relieved with a spray of orange blossom. The chief bridesmaid, Olive, a sister of the bride, wore a handsome frock of mauve elaine, and the second bridesmaid, Hazel, also a sister of the bride, wore a stylish blue silk dress. Both carried pretty posies of a similar colour. Mr Richard Watts, uncle of the bride, acted as best man. Following the ceremony the breakfast was served in a large marquee on the lawn, erected for tlie purpose, and a reception hold again in the evening'. The happy couple left by car on their honeymoon and intend taking up their residence at Haleomhe.
