OBITUARY.

MRS. CAROLINE WITHERSAGED 77 YEARS. We regret to chronicle the death cl one of Foxton’s oldest residents, in the person of Mrs Caroline Withers, wife of Mr Bruce Withers, of Union Street, which occurred last evening, after a very lingering illness. . The late Mrs Withers, who was 77 years of age, was bom at Motueka, in the Nelson district, and came to Foxton 40 years ago, and had resided here with her husband ever since. The deceased leaves a family of two sons and five-daughters, Messrs Joseph Withers (Wanganui), and Vincent Withers (Foxton), Mrs Bel vie (Wanganui), Mrs A. Osborne (Foxton), Mrs F. Watson (Foxluu), Mrs W. Wallbutton (Foxton), Mrs W. Rout (Eketahuna). One son (Mr Alf. Withers) and one daughter (Mrs A. Dudson) predeceased the late Mrs Withers. The funeral will take place tomorrow, and will leave the deceased’s late residence at 3 p.m.
