“LOVE LETTERS.” Tlu-re have been hundreds of mystery pictures and thousands of love pictures, some of each being satisfactory as screen entertainment. But the combination of mystery with a love tale is somewhat of a diversion. In “Love Letters," the leading film at the Town Hall to-night, starring Shirley Mason, both elements have been presented in an entertaining manner. Miss Mason performs well and the same can he said of the others in the < ast. Comedy will be supplied by A 1 SI. John in “Highly Recomended” whilst the Fox News will show the latest world’s happenings. Usual prices. A series of scenes showing a spectacular race between a motor car and express train for miles along a railroad right of way is graphically depicted in “Westbound Limited,” i he big railroad drama heading Monday’s programme at the Town Hall. Ralph Lewis is the lead : ing player and is supported by Claire McDowell, Ella Hall, David Kirby and .Johnny Hamm. Other pictures are a two reel comedy and (he latest Rathe Gazette. P.rices as usual. - “THE FRUITING- BLADE.” The screen has pictured historical romance before. But not until John S. Robertson filmed “The Fielding Blade” was the epochal Cromwellian era touched upon. And in selecting this subject Mr Robertsou Ims not only contributed wortliilv io the screen’s historical associations. hut lie has given it a production that stands on a par with the biggest and best, and lias given ilie public an enlcrlainmenl that is destined to remain one of the most memorable. Richard Barthelmcss is the star of “The Fighting Blade." a Firs! National picture which lias Koval Theatre prescyts this evening. Maurice Cosicllo, who lias been a favourite, with motion picture devotees' for two decades, is slill ill gieai demand with producers and diieelois. Mr Costello may he seen in "Love of Women,” at the Koval Theatre on Monday. Gibers in the east are Helene Chadwick, Montague Love, Mary Thurman, Marie Shot well ami Frankie Evans.
