AUCKLAND SUPREME COURT.

Auckland, February 6th. In the Supreme Court, George Denton, charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of William Campbell, tramway motorman, who was knocked down by accused’s motor car, on the Great South Roail, on November 29, was found guilty of negligently driving a motor car. Sentence will be passed to-morrow. Ronald Walker, a young school teacher, was acquitted on six charges of indecent assault. The defence was that the complaints had been deliberately invented. Edward Jack Cromer, aged 27 was found guilty of issuing a valueless cheque and sentenced to fr months imprisonment.
