SEXUAL CRIMES.
JUDGE’S COMMENTS. Strong comment upon the prevalence of sexual crime was made by Mr Justice MacGregor in the Supreme Court at Palmerston N. yesterday. It was regrettable, His Honour said, in addressing the Grand Jury, that so many young people were growing to live almost like animals, and could not restrain their impulses. Some of the cases were so grave and the facts so disgusting that, a public recitation of the details would do more harm than good. True Bills were found by tho Grand Jury in the following cases: .1 antes Barter pleaded guilty to alleged indecent assault on a male. William Thomas Moulin, two charges of alleged indecent assault mi a male. John'Lionel Perrin, alleged attempted rape. Richard George Miles, alleged attempted rape. Reginald Rainey, Henry Seddon Carmichael and Arthur G. H. bunncx, alleged carnal knowledge on a girl. .lames Barter peladed guilty lo the charges and sentence was deferred. The case against William Thomas Moulin was revolting in its details and was heard within closed doors. The case will be continued to-day.
