ACCESS TO OCEAN BEACH.

The Harbour Board is down llax refuse on a track 12ft. in width and 14 chains in length, leading from the old river bed at the seaside across the drift sand on to the oeean beach. The work is being carried out by Mr Woodham. The object, is to provide access for motor cars through the drift on to the firm beach. If the experiment is successful motorists will be enabled to travel along the sea coast at low tide for many miles along the seashore, thus providing a delightful drive, as the sand is very firm along the coast.
