John Gilbert, a favourits artist with Foxton audiences will make a further appearance on Saturday night this time in “The Lone Chance,” a dramatic story of a young man imprisoned on the eve of liis sweetheart’s wedding to another man—a man who had played him false. An exciting escape from prison is the big thrill scene in “The Lone Chance.” Evelyn Brent plays the leading role opposite Gilbert. ROYAL PICTURES. To-morrow night “Conflict” will be screened at the Royal Theatre. Patrons are guaranteed one of the most interesting and exciting pictures of the season in “Conflict,” which stars Priscilla Dean and Herbert Rawlinson. See hundreds of mighty men of the forest in deadly combat, see the terrific explosion blow up a great dam and turn the course of a whole river; see thousands of giant logs crunching and / swirling in the maddened waters, tearing everything before them, and in the midst of this frenzied maelstrom of destruction a frail, beautiful girl fighting to save the man she loves. On Friday night Jack London’s ' “The Son of the Wolf,” will be screened. No need here to describe a Jack London picture. In this picture an Indian village in the heart of the frozen wilderness in Alaska is the setting and the cast includes a elan of Indians from the snow lands who add much to the general atmosphere of the production.
