THE BANDMASTER’S UNIFORM.
Sir.— A sum of money was raised at the recent Carnival to equip the Citizens’ Band and the money rais-
e.j is held in trust by .several (mstees. Among other' things uniforms were ordered to arrive in time foT the races. Well, sir, the uniforms have arrived alright, except the bandmaster’s the order for which the trustees cancelled. Now, sir, I think this piece of high-handed business is very unjust to the bandmaster and the trustees should be called upon for an explanation. Some of the bandsmen refuse to wear their uniforms' as a protest. As the public is interested in this matter, I think a public explanation should he made in fairness io the party concerned —Thanking you in anticipation, I am etc. INTERESTED.
