A MISSING CHINESE.

LOCATED IN MAETON HOSPITAL. M YSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. A young Chinese named You Tai. ;| ged 28 years, left Franktou JunoCon by train on January 7 and then his friends lost trace of him until to-day, when word came that he is in hospital at Marlon .His movements in the interval, however, are a mystery, .but it is thought that lie was mentally affected by some shock or illusion, as his movements for several days prior to his disappearance were erratic. He was employed as a market gardener at Pukekore, but declared his intention of returning to China immediately. He had £3O in his possession when he left Pukekore for Franktou and the general opinion among the Chinese in Frankton is that he was robbed between the time of his leaving Pukekore and his departure from Frankton.

Though word has been received that he is a t Marton, nothing is known of his condition.
