Ai a meeting of the Native Teacher.-- Association, presided over by Mr Coghlan, it was agreed that the t niversity Senate be asked to make compulsory, all Maoris sitting for matriculation to take Maori as a language, also that the Senate be asked to set. u higher standard in Maori for examination and that the Kdin-ation Department he recommended to allow teachers reasonaide liberty in introducing iu their programmes of Maori folk songs, hand work and sample war dances.
