“CHU CHIN CHOW.” Oscar Asehe and Frederick Norton’s famous stage play “Chu Chin Chow,” has lost none of its greatness by transference to the silversheet, and patrons are promised fine entertainment when the wonderful Eastern drama is presented at the Town Hall to-morrow (Friday) evening. Betty Blythe, famous beauty of the screen plays the important. role of Zahrat, the desert beauty so much sought by “Chu Chin Chow,’ played by Herbert Langley The magnificent scenes are laid is the deserts of Arabia, and in the romantic Bagdad of Haroun al Raschid. Big dramatic scenes and moments are “The interrupted wedding,” “The tortures of Chu Chin Chow,” “The Magic Caves,” “The Slave Market,” “The South Gate of Bagdad, and the big climax where Zahrat exposes and reveals Chu Chin Chow. As this feature forms a complete evening’s entertainment, patrons are advised to be seated early as screening commences at 8 sharp. Prices 1/- and 1/6, children 3d and 6d. Saturday the modern drama of public opinion, “You Can’t get away with It.” ROYAL PICTURES. To-night patrons at the Royal Theatre will be presented with a most exciting drama, starring Glady’s Walton, “The Love Letter.” It is an exciting “crook” drama and is directed by the famous King Baggott. The picture is one of the best Gladys Walton has yet been starred in. Besides this star item a good supporting programme is promised, containing a Centuary comedy entitled “Scared Stiff.” Prices are as usual. On Friday night “Life’s Twist” will be presented. This is an interesting picture showing a strange mixture of New York slum life and the smart set of Long Island. How a man by association with another woman was brought to the realisation that he loved his wife. Two men who were not intentionally rotters, ' but who had been decreed by fate to appear as such. This is one of Bessie Barriseale’s best. A human drama for every human. Comedy: “Pardon Me.” On Saturday night Colleen Moore appears in “Painted People.”
