UNITED SPORTS ASSOCIATION.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the above Association was held in the Racing Club office on Thursday evening. Present : Afessrs W. E. Barber (in the chair), E. Parkin, G, Alexander, J. Thomson, D. Ogilvy, Robinson, A. N. Smith, C. A. Pearson, R. Bryant, S. Barber, H. Hutchins. S. Austin, AI. E. Perreau and the secretary (Air F. Rimmer). An apology for absence was received from the President (Mr W. T. Jewell). CORRESPONDENCE was read and dealt with as follows: From the Foxton State School, granting the Association the use of blackboards on sports day.—Received with thanks. From the N.Z. Racing- Conference, in connection with horse events at the forthcoming meeting; also from the N.Z. Trotting Association, re novelty trots.—Left in the hands of Air Ogilvy Ho obtain further particulars from both bodies. , HANDICAPPER, Air J. Collingwood, of Wanganui, was appointed handieapper for the professional running events and it was decided to write to the N.Z. Amateur Athletic Association and ask that body to appoint a liandicapper for the amateur events. NEW MEMBERS. The following new members were appointed:— Alessrs W). Bullard, R. Burn, S. Barber, J. Coley, Campbell, J. Desmond, V. Delany, P. Jack, P. Lingard, A. Smith, A. Walls, J. Winstanley, and W. Walker. , GENERAL. Decided to procure a lawn marker. Decided that the next meeting be held on January 29th. Business of minor importance wa< dealt with and the meeting terminated.
