LORRY GOES OVER BANK.

MOTORISTS’ LUCKY ESCAPE. Eltham, Yesterday. A miraculous escape from injury was the luck of Messrs A. R. Gower, lorry proprietor, and Yates, of Kit ham, yesterday afternoon, when Gower”s lorry went over a steep hank at a dangerous corner near Pukengahu. The steering gear locked and the lorry went through a hedge and a wire fence, and ended its career in a bog after travelling over a chain. Neither occupant jumped out, but luckily the lorry did not capsize. There was no injuries to the occupants, and little damage to the lorry.
