FLIGHT TO THE SEASIDE

Mr Percy Coleman made a fight from Palmerston N. to the local seaside in his whippet flying machine on New Year’s Day, which added to the interest of the crowd assembled there and diverted attention from the drowning fatality which had happened a short time before the- machine circled above the locality. A good descent was made on the old river bed. Mr Coleman and bis machine wore quickly surrounded by hundreds of interested spectators. Later, Mr Coleman started on his return journey, but owing to a mishap to a piston of the machine, he again landed and will remain at the sensed until repairs are effected to tlie little machine.
