COMPENSATION CASE.

POPLAR FLAXAULLING CO. AWARDED £2,009. The Poplar Flaxmilling Co. has been awarded £2,009 compensation in its claim against the Makerua Drainage Board for damages caused through the latter’s banking scheme at Aloutoa. The arbitrators in the case were unable to agree and it was left for the umpire to assess the eomepnsation from the evidence submitted.
