“Gentle Julia,” the screen version of Booth Tarkiiigton’s well-known novel which heads a good programme at the Town Hall to-night handles an age old problem with the humorous deftness that befits only a Booth Tarkington. It is a story that essentially concerns the human deV sue for the unattainable.. Julia played cleverly by Bessie Love, could have bad any man in her own home town. But she wanted the good looking up-to-date city business man who didn't want her and thereby hangs the story. Comedy f “A Bath-house Tangle” and latest World’s News. Prices as usual. Owen Moore, one of the screen’s foremost and dramatic players, enacts the principal role in “Thundergate,” a tensely dramatic picturisation of Sidney Hersehel Small’s novel, “The Lord of Thundergate,” which is to he screened at the Royal Theatre to-night. Few actors in pictures to-day have had such a wide experience before the camera as Moore, and it was because of his extensive and versatile career that he was chosen for the difficult leading role in “Thundergate.” It is a First National picture. On Monday night, Harold Lloyd will appear in the laughter picture,' “Safety Last.” This picture will also be repeated on Tuesday night. This comedy feature contains more thrills and laughs than any ten pictures put together that have ever been made. Oil up your laugh glands and come along and see this picture. It will make you forget all your cares and worries.-
