Another Booth Tarkington story of the type which make great motion pictures is coining to the Town Hall on Saturday next: “Gentle Julia,” is its name. The title role of this widely read novel by America’s most gifted author, is 3 played by Bessie Love, who has just the personality to portray the demure young woman so humorously drawn in the book. A Sunshine comedy, “The Bath House Tangle,” is also on Saturday’s programme. ROYAL PICTURES. Rawlinson pictures of the past year have shown a constant improvement. Being an athelete, and all-round sportsman, in addition to having acting ability, Rawlinson’s portrayals generally have more than the average attraction. ‘High Speed’ his latest, directed by Herbert Blanche, shows Herb as a romantic young athlete. Comedy “A Royal Pair,” to be screened at the Royal Theatre to-morrow, night. Mary Alden plays the mother in “The Steadfast Heart,” to be screened on Friday night. She gives a marvellous portrayal of a mother whose infirmities and lack of character brand her only hoy for life. The scenes in the mountain cabin with mother and son are among the most poignant ever witnessed in a motion picture.
