METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL.
The anniversary services in connection with the above school were held on Sunday. The church had been prettily decorated with flowers, by a band of willing workers, for the occasion, and the children looked charming in their pretty suhimer dresses. Mr Betty conducted the singing and the children, with the help of the choir ad orchetral .accompaniments added to the charm of the services, Rev. F. McDonald in the morning, gave a fine address on books, taking for his text Revelations 20, 12, “And the Books were Opened.” He spoke of the greatest of all Books and the greatest of all Writers, “The Recording Angel.” Prior to his remarks, he presented the prize-books to “The Young Worshippers” of the Sunday Morning League. The Rev. Peryman gave the addresses both afternoon and evening, which will long be .remembered. Both preachers spoke very encouragingly of the officials and the singers. Mrs Peryman presided at the organ, Mrs Chalk and Miss Peryman were violinists and Mr Osborne played the ’cello. The school wishes to thank everyone who helped to make the services a success, and hopes to see them all at their concert in the schoolroom on Tuesday.
