HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 29th ultimo., reads: — “Hemp, Manila market, is firm. ‘J’ grade, November-February shipments sold from £54 to £55 and today value is £55. New Zealand market is steady. Moderate business has been done in high points, NovemberJanuary shipments at £43, fair at £4l and value.”
