HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
A committee meeting of the Foxton Horticultural Society was held last evening. Present: Revs. W. If. Walton (president). Peryman, Mr D. Christie, and Mesdaines E. Healey, J. M. Ban-, P. Easton, McMurray and the secretary (Mrs R. Moore). The object of the meeting was to receive the financial statement and to pa.--s accounts in connection with tin: recent summer show. Correspondence was received from the C'. M. Ross Co. Ltd. and the Methodist Ladies’ Guild, thanking the Society for the loan of vases. The president brought up the mattei of care of Society’s property, stored in the hall and it was decided to leave this matter over until the next annual meeting. The following is a list of those who secured the highest aggregate [)oii\s for the summer show: — Mrs R. MeMarray 83, Miss Nye 80, Mrs P. Easton 74, Mrs Andrews 03, Mrs J. M. Barr 50, and Miss J. Ross 43.
