MUSICAL EXAMINATIONS.
The musical examination of pupils of Foxton Convent conducted under the London Trinity College of Music by Mr Mallinson on Saturday last resulted as follows: - Associate diploma: Maggie Hynes, 75; higher local: Ruby Algar, 81 (honours); Katie Roore, 04; senior:— Madge Me, Coll, 72; intermediate (singing): Eileen Bowe, 73; intermediate (piano): Bex Ball, 72/ junior: Mary Wright 72; preparatory: Frank Cowley 74. _ •' . In reference to Miss Maggie Hynes obtaining her Associate, ..diploma/ it might be mentioned that a tribute is due to this young lady’s ability as a musician, and also to her teachers, she only being thirteen years of age, and is probably the youngest student in New Zealand to pass that .grade.
