Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd. have received the. following cable from their London agents, dated the 7th November, 1924: “Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e. including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.) : —Down lambs, 2S/42’s, none offering; best North Island, 28/42’s, 12?’d peT lb; ordinary North Island, 28/42’s, 4 2gcl per lb.; second quality lambs, 28/42’s, 12jjd per lb.; best North Island wether sheep, 48/ 6-l’s, 9d per lb.; do., 68/72’s B.ld per lb.; ordinary do., 48/64’s 8.5 d per lb.; North Island ewes, 48/04’s 7d per lb.; do., 64/72’s (>Jd per lb.; XZ. prime ox beef, 160/220’s 4id per lb. The above quotations are more or less nominal but as compared with last week's advices, ordinary North Island lambs and secoinl quality lambs arc .jd per lb. dearer. North Island wethers, 48/ ()4's, id per. lb. dearer; North Island wethers, 64/72’s, id per lb. dearer, ordinary wethers ihl per 1'). dearer, ewes Id per lb. dearer and beef id per 11). cheaper.”
