YOUNG HELPERS’ LEAGUE.
The annual meeting of the Young Helpers’ League was held at the school on November 6th, when the official opening of boxes took plaee. I'lie local secretary (Miss Williams) desires to thank all those children who have denied themselves luxuries in order to help the many wait's and strays of London, who are fed and provided for by Dr. Barnado’s Homes. The effort this year, as last, showed quite a good result, the total amount collected being £3 19/10A. There are still some boxes to be brought in, and ex-pupils of the school are asked to please forward as soon as possible. All members of the League are invited to a picnic at Victoria Park on Saturday afternoon next. As it is hoped to enrol some new members next year, intending members are also invited. j
