Yesterday afternoon the rink which held the Nye Ferns from the previous Wednesday's play, were successful in defending the trophy against the opposing rink drawn from tile hat at 2 p.m. The game was not marked by anything brilliant in play, but nevertheless was very enjoyable. Pearson withdrew from the holder's rink in favour of Winstauley. The rinks were as follows, the holders being mentioned lirsl: — Wliiblev, Winstanley, Roore, Bants), 21 v. Walton, Powell, Huntley, Thomson (s), 15.
