SOUTH PACIFIC COMEDY CO.
Tht Carnival spirit prevelant throughout the Alauawatu at the present time is responsible for bringing quite a number of young men and maidens into the public eye as entertainers and pi'omoters of various “stunts.” They appear to enjoy the outings and the fascination of spot light displays wherein they disport in ballet and other animated if not always graceful, movements. At. the Town Hall last night a company of Palmerston N. amateurs, under the somewhat fetching title of the “South Pacilc Comedy Co.” entertained a small audience with a varied programme, including vocal items, choruses, ballets, etc. The music was supplied by a well-balanced orchestra. Lack of publicity and local counter attractions possibly accounted for the meagre attendance.
