ROYAL PICTURES

' '‘Gimme" is to be screened at the. Royal Theatre to-night. Have all women got the Gimmes'? Come to the Royal to-night for the answer. Rupert Hughes’?f Hindus masterpiece “Gimme,” will hold your interest right from start to finish. Also good supporting pictures. Prices 9d and 1/C, children as usual. Thirteen persons, only two of them women, hut all widely known to moving picture theatre patrons, were selected to portray the leading characters in “The Fighting Adventurer,” Universal-Jewel coming to the Royal Theatre to-morrow night. The picture was adapted from the scenario submit red by William F.lwell Oliver, in the Carl Laemmle in-ter-collegiate scenario contest and was awarded first prize. Oliver is a student in the University of California : also has had considerable travels in China and he drew upon his knowledge of these widely divergent, localities. Thomas Forman directed the picture and Pat O’Malley and Miss Astor have the juvenile leads and the others in the east are in character parts of a type for which they have become famous. WILLIAM S. HART AT CABARET. William S. Hart being a two fisted Western character believes in following up good leads —meaning “Wild Bill Hickok” which was recently shown ai the the Town Hall Cabaret. Now comes his second recent production “Singer Jim Me Nee” to he presented to-morrow evening. If you -thought “Wild Bill” was the ideal Hart Western you’ll be at a loss for words to describe Singer Jim Me Kee for Bill’s never done anything quite like it. He rides and shoots and fights like he’s never done before and revels in the title character a role of his own creation, for he wrote the original story himself. in the supporting cast are Phyllis Haver, Gordon Russelll and Edward Coxen. Comedy support will be given by “The Bill Collector” Whilst the latest News reel will also be screened. Usual prices. On Saturday Chas. Jones will be seen in “Not a Drum was Heard.” Usual prices.
