HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
The committee of the Foxton Horticultural Society met last evening. the Rev. W. 11. Walton presiding. There were also present : Mesdames -J. M. Barr, P. Easton, 0. A. Pearson, If. MeMurrav, R. Moore (secretary). Miss Speirs; Messrs ■Jiiu. Ross, S. 11. Poole, TV. Xye and D. Christie.
The following judges were appointed for the summer Show: Cut blooms, fruit and vegetables: Mr F. Mason ( Feilding): decora five: Madame Imrie (P.X.); fancy work: Mrs Wilchell (Olaki): cookery: Air A. E. Whitehead, (P.XD: cottage gardens, Air A. -J. Shailer (P.X.). ’These lo be judged a few days prior to the Show. tl was decided to ask Airs John Ross to supervise the cake stall. 'The secretary reported that the siib-eoinniittee had effected alterations to the .schedule and these had hi eti agreed to, a special class also being added. Thanks were due to Mrs Witched, of Otaki, for assistance. Permission was granted Rev. Peryman and AIY I). Christie to use the Society's vases. Accounts totalling £3 5/- were submitted and passed for payment.
