BY WANGANUI HIGHLAND PIPERS. TOWN HALL— MONDAY NIGHT. Tii is big event, unique in the musi*•:ll line, under tlie auspices of the l ire Brigade Queen (.Miss M. Dunn) commit lee, will take place in the Town Hall on Monday evening next when the pnblicof Pox ton and district will be acorded an opportunity iit' seeing and hearing something <>ut of the ordinary. To witness 30 Highland pipers in full regalia on parade, is a stirring and inspiring sight, while the entertaument in the ball by Wanganui performers is sufficient to attract a bumper house. At the request of local business bouses, an appeal was forwarded to the Pipe Major, to allow some pip ors to visit Foxton on Saturday to participate in a Main Street Carnival function, as the outcome of which IS pipers will arrive on Saturday afternoon. Local residents have generously consented to accommodate the ppers until Monday. Mi Golder is to be commended on Jus energy and enterprise in organising such au enteratining event. The pipers will be on parade on Saturday and prior to the concert on Monday night.
