HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.

The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 11th inst., reads: “Hemp, Manila market, quiet and easier. ‘J’ grade, October-Deeember shipments quoted at beginning of week at £SB 10/-, and value; now quoted at £56 sellers. Output Manila during September was 1,149,000 bales, against 1,116,000 for the same period last year. Stocks Manila at 30th September were 121,000 bales, against 190,000 last year. Stocks in Great Britain were 5,631 bales against 18,596. New Zealand market quiet but steady. High points, OctoberDecember shipments, quoted at £45, fair £43 and value.” ,
