SCHOOL MISTRESS RESIGNS.

Thu Grammar Schools’ Board has accepted the resignation of Miss Terry, an assistant mistress at the Epsom Girls’ Grammar School. Miss Terry had previously been granted two months’ leave on the ground of ill-health, and to-day notified the Board that in her present health it would be out of the question for her to at lend the open inquiry fixed for to-morrow into the allegations that she had abused her position as mistress by influencing the religious views of her pupil, Miss Margaret Martin, and in the circumstances she tendered her resignation. The Board resolved that the proposed inquiry, be not proceeded with.
