OPENING DAYS. Levin Club Wed., Oct. Bth. Palmerston Club Rat., Oct. 11th Feilding Club Sat.. Oct. 11th Terrace End Club Sat.. Oct. 18th During the past two weeks special labour has been employed by (hr Committee for the preparation of the local green in readiness for opening day, which is arranged to take place on Wednesday of next, week.
Owing to die unusually wet and warm season, it has been extremely difficult |o secure the results aimed ;-,t, hut the Comiiu! lee now have confidence that, with a. moderately dry spell in Iho interim and the eo-opera-l ion of members generally in applying the finishing touches, the green will he in good playing order for The opening day. To-morrow afternoon a special working bee will he held on the 'green for the purpose of cleaning up die properly generally and al-o to complete the weeding of the green, which was commenced last week. Every member who can possibly make it convenient to attend is askel In tin so. Do vour hit for vonr Club. ’ ' To-morrow afternoon the Levin Club open their green and Foxton will lie represented by one. rink, consisting of Walker, Walton, MeKonwn and Admore.
Tn connection with the official opening of the Foxton Rowling and Croquet Club greens, the same arrangements as hitherto will he observed in regard to afternoon tea, viz., members of both clubs wi{] tiring a basket.
The offieia]_ opening of Manawaiu green was held on Saturday. The attendance was large and the function verv successful.
