AN APPEAL,

Air Meson, headmaster of the local State School, is a linn believer that the best mental results of the children can only he obtained through physical fitness. In this connection he advocates facilities for physical recreation for all scholars, apart from the culture routine. At the school a cricket pitch is laid down and asphalt" tennis courts, but these are of little general use, unless the material is provided for siwh games. He therefore makes an appeal to a generous public for new or second-hand cricket and tennis material, or donations towards the purchase of same. On Monday at 3 p.m. Mr Mason and bis staff invites parents to the school at 3 o’clock, to partake of a cup of tea, to celebrate the opening of the summer sports season.
