FOXTON TENNIS CLUB.
ANNUAL GENERAL AIEETING.
The annual general meeting of the Fox ton Tennis Club was held in the Town Hall supper-room on Thursday evening. Mr C. Simmons presided over a good attendance. The secretary presented the following report: “Your committee has pleasure m presenting the annual report and balance-sheet for the season 192324, which shows quite a satisfactory position. Although there is only a small increase in membership the financial position is undoubtedly improved. The liabilities as compared with last year, show a decrease, approximately of £SO, and, although this amount has been derived mainly from profits of the 1923 and 1924 halls (the 1923 ball was held after annual balance) it shows that the expenditure during the past season was considerably curtailed. “A portion of this amount has, in accordance with the undertaking given to the guarantors, been set aside for the purpose of reducing the bank overdraft. “The courts have not been topdressed this year, mainly because it has not been possible to obtain the necessary tar. There was also the possibility of a sale being effected and it was considered advisable to await developments before incurring I lie expenditure.”—Adopted
