ENTERTAINMENTS.

ROYAL PICTURES. _

The theme of the film drama “Ten Nights in a Barroom,” adapted by L. Case Russell from the old stage -a haul ion. is an historical drama, intensely interesting, appealing and celirely adequate, which will ho ufiereil to Royal Theatre patrons tomorrow night, it is the story of fo!l\ and a child, just n little wisp oj a gii!, with a world of innocent tenderness and pathetic juvenality. The whole cast is clear-cut and competent and Ihe settings are na-. limit. It is a real entertainment a ad will give, you much to. think-n----hout.

On Saturday night Booth Talking! on’s great sequel to “Penrod,” entitled •jVniud and Sam” will be screened. It. is a First National attraction in which that tough little society chap in “Dinty,” Newton Kail, has a prominent part. He plays the part of Georgie Bassett, “the prettiest and neatest boy in town,” a title that-is hardly befitting him afier he is initiated ino Penrod’s “In after he is initiated into Penrods “In picture. It’s a scream. “THE IIA RUBENS.” At the Town Hall to-night Foxtou theatre goers will have the only opportunity of seeing “The Hardeens,” magicians and escapologists, late of Fuller's Theatres, who will present “The Magic Cave” an act which is being presented for the lir.'t time in New Zealand. The Hardeens work right before your eyes and introduce many novelties, both in eseapology and magic. The whole entertainment is one of wierd and uncanny happenings of invisible wonders transformations and mystification. During the performance of the Magic Cave, no one will be allowed in or out of the theatre. Supporting “The Hardeens” is a selected picture programme headed by a Dustin .Farnum feature, “The Until," a story of duty. Farnum lias made a reputation as a portrayer of virile roles and “The Grail” should add still further to his good name. Altogether to-night’s otters a line variety of entertainment, and as the prices are on the lowest scale, patrons should be well repaid for a visit to the Town Hall and “The Hardeens.” Prices 1/- and 1/9.
