OBITUARY.

The death took place in Nelson on 20th September, of Mrs Poole, widow of the late Rev. Samuel Poole, in her 92nd year. Mrs Poole was married in 1854 to the Rev. Samuel Poole, in St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, Wellngton, and is survived by five daughters, of whom Mrs P. A. C. Baddeley, of Danuevirke is one and one son, Mr S. H. Poole, of the Bank of New Zealand, Foxton. The remaining four daughters are resident in Nelson. The late Mr Poole arrived in New Zealand in 1853 and was chaplain to the troops and Incumbent of SI. Peter’s, Te Aro, Wellington, from 1853 until 1857, when lie went to Nelson and spent 38 years in the service of the diocese t hero.
