FOXTON CROQUET CLUB.
The annual meeting of the above was held on Tuesday last, Mr Barr president of the Bowling Club, presiding. There was a good attendance of ladies present. The following officers were elected: — President: Mrs Perrean, reelected; vice-president': Mrs Bryant, secretary: Mrs Downes, re-elected; committee: Mrs Barr, Miss Speirs, Mrs Owen and Mrs Smith: handicapping committee: Mesdaines Perlenii, Bryant and Owen. Three resignations were accepted wiih regret, Mesdaines Henley and .id more and Miss B. Speirs. il was with some difficulty that llic members persuaded Mrs Perrean to again stand Us president. It was the feeling of all present, however, lhal she is very capable and energetic and always willing to do her la s| for the dllb. Mr Barr proposed a vote of thanks to the secretary for the able wav in which she carried out her duties and the splendid report and balance-sheet submitted to them. Mr Barr kindly donated, a trophy I’oi the coining season, which was received with thanks. After a discussion re procuring oxlia croquet lawns it was decided to meet the bowlers and talk the matter over.
