A large number of wit-iie.s.-*es in support of the prosecution aud defence were heard. Defcinlanls alleged I ho liquor found on the premises was brought and stored for their eonntrymeu and that they did not keep it for sale for gain. The Magistrate also ordered the liquor which made a dray load altogether, to lie confiscated.
