NATIONAL COUNCIL OF WOMEN.
Dunedin, Last Night. At this morning’s, conference of the National Council of Women, remits were carried protesting against the different inlion in salaries paid to men and women teachers for services of equal value to the State. The conference discussed the question of emigration, and alleged looseness in the system of nomination at Home. A special committee was appointed to bring forward a remit on the matter. A remit was carried protesting against any proposal by the Government to further increase gambling facilities.
