HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

At the meeting held on Tuesday last there were present Mesdnmes Baker, Barr, Healey, McMurray, Easton, Moore. Miss Speirs and Messrs Clirystall, Christie, Poole. •Tas. Ross and Revs. Walton and Penman. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs Pearson and Messrs Svinous and Nve.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The following committee was elected to prepare the hall for fhe Show on September 12th.- —'Messrs Clirystall, Christie, Poole. .Tas. Ross. AfcAluriav and John Ross.

The secretary reported that, owing to the local date of show i-lasii-ing with Feilding and Wanganui, a difficulty was experienced in securing a .judge for the hull) sections. If was decided to write to Mr Reynolds, ’of Otaki.
