ROME TTME NEXT MONTH

Mr E. Dinnie, Engineer-in-Charge of Mnngnhno Hydro-Electric Power construction work, states that the water for the first, generator of power will he turned through the tunnels on Monday next. The Arnpeti dam is ready for flooding, and it is reported that this operation will he undertaken to-dav. A meeting of local bodies interested will he held at Shannon on Saturday to make arrangements for a suit able celebration when the time for the turning on of the juice arrives, some time next month. The machinery at the power house is almost ready, and the turbines will probably be running next week, the day suggested being Monday.
