SECOND TEST A DRAW
The Chinese soccer team drew with New Z.■.-.land in the second test at Wellington on Saturday, two goals each. Tt was a splendidly contested game, arousing 12,000 spectators to enthusiasm. Wu and Chang seored for China and Daere and Ewing for New Zealand. The first round of the soccer knock-out competition was played at Palmerston N. on Saturday when R.S.A. drew with Dawbers —one goal each —though the decision with respect to the latter's shot was strenuously disputed by the opposing players and admitted to be incorrect bv the Dawber’s players, including the man who shot it. Y.M.C.A. (1) defeated Marist (0) in tin- championship contest at Wellington on Saturday. -Marist played > exceptionally hard to equalise, but Tarrant was in the pink of form in goal for Y.W, As a result Y.M.C.A. wins the senior A championship.
