DAWK IN AID OF FUNDS
A Cabaret dance was held in the T«uvn Hall on Tuesday night in aid of the funds of the local branch of the Plunket Society. There was '. a good attendance and a very enjoyable time was spent. Larkins orchestra provided the music and extras were played by Misses Delnnv and Stevenson and Messrs K. Ifii'ini and Walls. Two spot light waltzes and a Cinderella dance were included in the dances. The decorations were very effective, consisting of vari-eoloured streamers festooned from ceiling to gallciy, attached to which were balloons. The supper was presided over by a lad ios’ committee and was all that could be desired. During supper paper hats and whistles were distributed and added to the geneial gaiety of the scene. Messrs E. Bi\ant and C. McCartney carried out the duties of M.’sC. The Plunket Society’s funds will benefit as the result of the effort.
