SPLIT BANK NOTES.
FARM LABOURER COMMITTED FOR TRIAL • Gisborne, Last Night. At the Magistrate’s Court, Francis .James IJodges, farm labourer, appeared charged with making a false document by splitting a ten shilling Bank of New' Zealand note and uttering it to a shopkeeper with intent that it be acted on as genuine. Accused was further charged with passing a split pound note to another man. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial.
